Which vehicle is best for your trip?

Get your questions answered to choose the ideal vehicle based on your route, group size, and the type of terrain you'll be traveling on. If you have any other questions, please contact us through any of our communication channels.

It depends on your trip plan: a sedan is ideal for the city, with the best fuel efficiency; an SUV combines comfort with capability for varied roads; a van works for large groups; a pickup or a work vehicle handle cargo needs; and a 4x4 is the best option when the route leaves the pavement. Explore the full vehicle catalog to compare all options.

It's worth it when the itinerary leaves the pavement: gravel or dirt roads, mountain or volcano climbs, or during the rainy season (May to November), when four-wheel drive gives you more safety and control on uneven surfaces or steep grades. For routes that stay in the city and on paved highways, a sedan or SUV is more fuel-efficient. See the details in our 4x4 category.

An SUV has more ground clearance than a sedan and handles occasional gravel roads, beaches, or gentle mountain terrain well. A 4x4 adds four-wheel drive, built for uneven terrain, steep grades, or heavy rain. When the route combines city driving with some varied terrain, an SUV is enough; if the plan includes rural or mountain roads, the 4x4 is the safer choice.

For families of up to 5 people, an SUV offers plenty of luggage space, or a 4x4 if the plan includes roads off the pavement. If the group is larger than 5 people, a van or minibus like the Toyota Hiace or Hyundai Staria handles both passenger and luggage space in a single vehicle.

For long trips, comfort and fuel efficiency matter more than terrain: a sedan is efficient on paved highways, while an SUV adds comfort if the trip combines different types of roads.

It depends on the volume: an enclosed panel van for medium loads, a work pickup with a cargo bed or fold-out structure, or a truck for large moves or distribution. See the full commercial fleet and rates on our Commercial Vehicles page.
