We were very pleased with our rental experience with Enterprise in Costa Rica. Quick, easy to find, and friendly shuttle service from the airport to the rental car pick-up/drop-off center ~10 min. Carlos was extremely friendly, efficient, and made the pick-up process extremely smooth, and was very patient and welcoming. Our reservation process was great- we really appreciated that you could specifically reserve a 4WD vehicle versus "request" one like other competitors and how upfront Enterprise's website was about mandatory insurance coverage requirements (Costa Rica third party liability requirements, that other carriers were not as transparent about). Our car was brand new, super clean, and ready for adventure! The drop-off process was just as easy and quick! The shuttle service starts at 3AM which was great since we had an early flight! Highly recommend!

My group and I rented a large SUV at the San Jose Costa Rica airport, with the great help of Shelby. He made sure that this old Canadian veteran was very well looked after. When we arrived at the airport David greeted us with a very polite personality and then gave us over to Michelle and with her big smile had us on the road in record time. Michelle’s English was perfect she had commented that she took English in school, renting a vehicle can be very stressful but she made the process care free and we sure appreciated the effort that everyone put in to getting us on the road. I do not write reviews but as my party of six we all agreed that something had to be said and again thank you to everyone at San Jose enterprise car rental. I will be calling enterprise head office in Canada to make sure this was passed on.

The employees are super helpful and accommodating. I had reserved a 4x4 and was unsure about the one I was getting. I had asked the rep to switch me to the jimny or bronco because that is what I had reserved and I had plans to roadtrip all through CR and knew the roads would require something higher off the ground. Within 5 minutes I had a jimny that was pristine clean and ready to go! I appreciated the Apple car play that made navigating through another country so easy. The free shuttle from the airport was great too and they helped me with my luggage which was a huge bonus being so tired flying from Alaska. Thank you!

We were fully satisfied with this car rental: We got the car we had ordered, all existing damages were noted, no insurances were pushed, the car was excellent, people were very friendly before and after the rental. We replaced a flat tire by the spare tire in the car. When detecting that little nail at a technically harmless spot, we even weren't charged for that damage. Thank you very much. My experience with Enterprise was not positive in all countries - but in San Jose, Costa Rica, the staff was very friendly and the car great. I deduct one star though because I had ordered a car with pickup at the airport but the pickup turned out to be some 8 km away. The shuttle was fine but our DOCUMENTS DID NOT CONTAIN AN ADDRESS that we could enter in our navigation program. The address was described with distances in meters to east and south of a hotel. Nevertheless - all in all the rental was a very positive experience.
